Indigenous Tree Nursery
Hazeldean Trees is an indigenous tree nursery growing trees to supply landscapists and tree lovers in the Pretoria area.
A variety of South African trees in various sizes are available from our site on Hazeldean Farm in Pretoria East.
Some of our trees are for sale if you walk in at the Hazeldean Brewery on weekends. Alternatively contact us for availability and price list: info@hazeldeanvalley.co.za and come and view more and bigger trees by appointment.
As we enter 2024 we are launching our campaign to plant more trees.
The story starts in 1973 when the farmers on Hazeldean Farm planted an avenue of trees on the road at the time leading onto the farm from Pretoria. They had some friends over for a tree planting weekend and said "Plant a tree in '73 and plant some more in '74". Now 50 years on we are pulling this heritage through to "Plant a tree in '23 and plant some more in '24".
Here is how you can help green the planet to curb global warming.
1. Buy an indigenous tree from our tree nursery (email Evelyn info@hazeldeanvalley.co.za or pop in at Hazeldean Brewing Co. to enquire).
2. Choose your favourite tree type from the list we have available.
3. Choose a tree size (10L small tree: R140; 20L medium tree: R218; 30/40L medium/bigger tree: R317 or 100/150L very big tree: R1087).
4. Plant the tree in your garden, or if you have no space either plant it in some other space that needs a tree or let us know if you would like us to plant the tree for you here at Hazeldean Valley.
5. If you choose to have a tree planted here at Hazeldean Valley on your behalf then let us know if you would like a plaque with your name on it or if you would like to remain anonymous.
